Pepsi Gives a Pass

I look forward to the Superbowl every year and like many others enjoy viewing the clever commercials during the breaks. But perhaps in a sign of the times Pepsi won't be buying any ad time this year. What a shame, Pepsi's ads are often some of my favorites.

Super Bowl Ads

Interesting about Pepsi, I wonder if the cost for the ads is down...

The Cost of Ads

The cost for a thirty second ad during the Superbowl IS down this year but still hefty compared to any other ad slots. Last years commercials sold for about 3 million/thirty seconds. This year ONLY 2.5 to 2.8 million. What a bargain! GM will not be among the advertisers again this year. The big talk this year seems to be about the Pro-Life ad featuring Tim Tebow and his mom.

Disappointing

It cannot be blamed entirely on the absence of Pepsi although they were missed. But I found only one ad Laugh out loud funny (Doritos - barking shock collar) and a few more good for a chuckle or two. Overall they were lacking.
And don't even start me on the half time appearance of the Who! That was just embarrassing it was so bad. That concert was thirty years too late.
