Glendale Americana, Shopping and Restaurants

I lunched at the Americana yesterday with my out of town aunt and mother. We ate at Frida, which everyone enjoyed.

We did some light shopping and my informal survey was that about one in 25 had a shopping bag. The stores and restaurants were not crowded.

I enjoy it there during the week, not too crowded but the weekends are impossible. Did you notice that they have cabs parked in the valet section and provide free rides during lunch hours. Seems like that should fill those restaurants.

They are also offering free valet with restaurant validation which I think is a great idea. I now find myself meeting friends for lunch on some weekends because parking is not a hassle.

I just love their hamburgers. I went again yesterday, bought some bread at the Farmers Market and grabbed a burger with husband's aunt and father. It was easy - especially with the free valet. Surprisingly not crowded.
